yup another one...

Just placed the order yesterday! Its suppose to be missing minor parts… not sure what. Got it on my c&r for $190

Missing firing pin, firing pin spring, safety detent and spring.

A little pitted under grips but otherwise good condition.  Manufactured in 1945.

Glad I snapped it up, must have been the only one they had because they took them down on the website.

Very comfortable gun. Not as fat in the grip as a 45 cal 1911. No grip safety which is a plus and a minus at the same time.

Got some new grips for it along with the missing parts! total ripe down, clean and reassemble. I got the wrong firing pin, its for the super B which has a smaller diameter pin. Not much smaller so the pin did work, but has a bit of wiggle. Took her out and shot off a magazine into a stump at the local public hunting. Boy does she shoot nice! I cant be more pleased with a purchase. cycles amazingly smooth, hardly any kick and is fast to acquire target. The group, even without a target was very good. When you think about this handgun being made in 1945 and shot how many times? Was it a service pistol? where was it? It was made at the end of WW2, and a lot of these star model B went to germany for the police force. Was this one made for them? I will never know.
