Picked this one up from century arms as well, for $75 is VERY rough. going to need much time and loving care to restore to shooting condition.

I bought a drill purpose smle for $129 from jg sales to swap out the wood. The old that came with this is complete junk, splits everywhere and I had to saw off the butt stock to get it loose. They werent number matching anyway… Also the barrel for the .410 ga is shot. Way too much pitting. I bought a NOS from sarco and the barrel is amazing. Took quite a bit of force to get the barrel off the reciever. Going to convert this back to 303 british. I really wanted the .410 but since I found a rifle barrel in NOS condition, I will keep it as a rifle.

Blued the reciever…. boy was that a chore. I almost parkerized it since it is pitted pretty bad in none critical areas.

 

well finished this one awhile ago. The barrel was trash along with the stock and other parts, with the help of a drill purpose rifle I got it back together and changed out the barrel to .303 british again. actually took it deer hunting this past year.
